Director, Advancement Interactive Communication The Director, Advancement Interactive Communication is a key member of University Advancement’s Communication team. This team-oriented leader is responsible for filming, producing, and editing stories that highlight University Advancement’s top fundraising priorities and feature the university’s most influential donors. Responsibilities include oversight and creation of e-blast and web-based communications, including regular e-newsletters, website content and maintenance, social media, and innovative communications in support of fundraising for Marquette University’s Advancement division.This position has the opportunity to work in a hybrid work arrangement, with time worked on campus at least two days a week as well as remotely.Duties and Responsibilities Create content and programming for signature, national alumni events, including filming, producing, and editing creative videography and photography. Manage film and photography technologies, project budgets, and provide donor-focused content to the Office of University Relations.Online / Digital focus : Act as relationship manager for online fundraising network.Partner with the Digital Strategy team to support social networking and online community.Code, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot front-end web programming.Design web features and electronic communication for a variety of e-communications.Manage content layout, reviews, edits, and final approval.Serve as technical support for alumni engaging in Marquette’s online social network.Lead training for UA employees on Marquette’s online community.Assist with any additional social media and / or interactive media initiatives.Research, assess, and implement new media opportunities related to University Advancement initiatives.Analytics : Analyze statistics and trends following distribution of key communications.Create and manage the production of internet surveys to alumni audiences.Relationship management : Manage vendor partnerships and projects related to web and online platforms.Collaborate with the Office of University Relations to provide messaging and content for publications.Serve as key Advancement contact with Marquette’s ITS department.Manage student assistants.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in digital media, communication, or closely related field.Minimum of five years of web communication or web development experience.Professional drone license or ability to obtain one, specialized training in video editing software, and experience with web graphic production software (Photoshop and / or Illustrator).Knowledge / familiarity with social networking tools.Very strong attention to detail.Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and operate within tight deadlines.Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Projects, HTML, and CSS.Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Familiarity with Blackbaud, GiveCampus, or similar higher education database and web platforms is a plus.Department University AdvancementPosting Date 01 / 08 / 2025Closing Date EOE Statement : It is the policy of Marquette University to provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other applicable federal or state-protected classification.Required Documents Required DocumentsResumeCover Letter / Letter of ApplicationOptional DocumentsPosting Specific Questions Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (
