This fully funded fellowship allows journalism professionals to do the best work of their careers on issues of vital importance while they also mentor and team with the next generation of journalists.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and produce an in-depth public service journalism project, to be published or broadcast to the public by the fellows’ home news organizations.
- Integrate students from the Diederich College of Communication into their projects as reporters and assistants, giving them first-hand experience in public service journalism.
- Become immersed in the Marquette community and culture to benefit from and participate in the college experience, including having access to university faculty and scholars, guest lecturing or speaking at classes and events across the university.
- Help to identify a student collaborator for a university-sponsored summer internship at his or her home news organization.
