We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Product Manager, preferably with experience in banking and credit unions, to help shape our product roadmap and drive the development of new and existing products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, be able to evaluate and assess competitors’ offerings, and use this insight to inform strategic decisions and prioritize roadmap initiatives. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of key players in the banking and credit union industry. Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Roadmap Development, Requirements Gathering and Prioritization: Contribute to the development of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and market opportunities. Use insights from competitor analysis to help prioritize features, improvements, and enhancements. Gather and translate customer needs and business requirements into clear product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while ensuring that the solutions align seamlessly with our service offering to deliver value to our clients.
  • Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for current and future products, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of banking and credit union customers. Contribute strategic insights on product pricing, ensuring competitive positioning in the market while aligning with customer expectations and business goals. Stay informed about regulatory, technological, and market changes that may impact product development
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure successful product development and launches. Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related questions and decisions.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and assess the performance of products post-launch, using data-driven metrics and KPIs to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on product performance, roadmap progress, and competitive landscape.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress effectively to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the business. Advocate for customer needs and ensure that product decisions reflect market demands.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in product management within software development, preferably in financial services or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of banking systems (core banking, payments, loans, digital channels).
  • Proven experience working with Agile frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complex technical requirements into clear business objectives.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities: Ability to drive initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in data analytics and performance tracking to inform product decisions and improve customer experiences.
  • Technical acumen: Strong grasp of software development, system architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices.
