Job Description –Scaffold
Summary / Objective
A Scaffold Builder is responsible for the construction, assembly, maintaining and dismantling of tubular scaffolding.
Essential Functions
- Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Marquis Construction Services requirements for the construction, assembly and dismantling of the scaffolding.
- Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defect and safety hazards
- Participate in safety pre-job audits (JSA’s) with the scaffolding crew to ensure all safety hazards have been identified
- Conduct daily visual inspections of scaffolding to ensure structural stability
- Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Assembles scaffold containing handrails, mid-rails, braces and planks, toe boards, handrails, walkways, platforms and gangways.
- Hoist scaffolding materials, upward in order to erect temporary structure
- Regularly inspect scaffolding components and recognize damaged or defective parts vital to the structure of the scaffold
- Responsible for cleaning and preparing site – removing debris and materials.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Required to wear PPE on job site at all times.
- Ability to pass Hair Follicle Testing
- Acceptable Background
- TWIC Card
- Ability to work overtime
- Successful complete DOW Safety Training
