SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the Group Home Manager/Senior Director in maintaining compliance with all licensing regulations (DDS, Health Inspection, Fire Marshall, ICF).
- Ensure the home, vehicles, and agency equipment are clean, safe, and in working order, including conducting monthly vehicle checks.
- Verify vehicle insurance and registration are current and present in the vehicle.
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and the Residential Policy Manual.
- Supervise all direct care staff and provide support as needed.
- Receive supervision from the Group Home Manager/Senior Director.
- Collaborate with Behaviorist and Nurse to address residential issues.
- Ensure proper management of individual finances and petty cash, including documentation.
- Complete monthly Facility Safety and Infection Control Checklist.
- Maintain up-to-date individual data forms.
- Attend individual PST meetings.
- Assist with site visits for potential new hires and staff evaluations.
- Orient new employees and substitutes.
- Report physical plant issues and assist with maintenance coordination.
- Ensure staffing levels comply with supervision requirements based on individual data forms and financial parameters.
- Implement daily living skills schedules and community recreation programs.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to on-call pages and follow PMT, CPR, and First Aid protocols.
- Operate motor vehicles safely and legally while on work duties.
- Associate’s degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma/GED with one year of residential experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities in community-based programs is preferred.
- Valid CT Driver’s License.
- PMT First Aid (where required).
- Valid Connecticut Public Service License (where required).
- Tu-F 12p-8p, Sa 8a-4p (40 FT)
- $19.33/hr. Rate increases to $19.77/hr after 6 months.
