What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect position at Marrero Land & Improvement Association, Limited?
We are seeking a Licensed Architect who will be working closely with and assist the Director of Design & Construction, a Senior Architect, for a property management/development company in Marrero, Louisiana.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the Director of Design & Construction in creating and organizing drawings for existing conditions and for proposed work for new construction, renovation, and maintenance and repair, for a large portfolio of commercial properties;
· Manage construction projects from design through construction, including making permit applications under your license;
· Inspect existing conditions of properties.
· Organize and maintain property data files;
· Chair the Design Review Committee for a homeowners association;
· Assist the Executives of the Company in decision making and budgeting as it affects the properties held by the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture
· Architect registered in Louisiana, with 3-5 years experience in construction documents and construction administration
· Expert in the setup and use of AutoCAD, working proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Xcel, Access, etc.)
· Ability to organize and self-direct work tasks and schedule
· Use of personal vehicle for travel to and from properties
· Demonstrated experience in project scheduling, contract management, and construction estimating
· Strong understanding of budgeting processes within architectural projects
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and team members alike.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
