What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant - FT position at Marriott Del Mar?
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the laundry area. This position is also responsible for driving a company vehicle for Laundry delivery.
Responsibilities
- Load and operates washers, adding specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
- Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lift clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and/or driers for measured time cycles.
- Sort dried articles according type or hotel / brand standards.
- May be responsible for minor equipment maintenance such as lubricating machines, using grease gun and oil can.
- Ensure cleanliness adn proper operation of equipment.
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Must have current CA Drivers License and be at least 21 years old - insurance requirement to operate Company vehicle
