Aquarium Husbandry Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for the daily care and wellbeing of all animals in the aquarium, as well as maintenance of habitats and contributing to a positive team approach within the Curatorial Department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Care and wellbeing of all animals under the facility's care
- Maintenance of all habitats
- Positive team approach within the Curatorial Department
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife/Marine biology or 5 years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of related work experience with animal husbandry
- Background in fresh and saltwater aquariums/zoos outside internships through school
- Customer Service or hospitality experience
- Dive Experience
- Licenses/Certifications: CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, Open Water Dive Certificate, AED Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory Experience: None required
- Related Work Experience: Experienced in the care of flora and fauna in a public aquarium setting preferred
