Job Responsibilities:
Prepare special meals or substitute items to meet the diverse needs of our guests. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure perfectly cooked dishes. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, maintaining optimal temperatures and food safety standards. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to enhance the visual appeal of each dish. Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and monitor food waste. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods to ensure seamless service delivery. Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials, promoting creativity and reducing waste. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items to maintain up-to-date knowledge and prevent mistakes. Ensure the quality of the food items by adhering to strict quality control standards. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist, meeting the expectations of our discerning guests. Prepare cold foods to perfection, using techniques such as chilling and reheating to maintain texture and flavor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need at least 3 years of related work experience and a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree. You should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality are essential, as is the ability to lift objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Supervisory experience is not required, but a proven track record of leadership and teamwork will be highly valued.
