Loss Prevention Officer Casual Job Summary
As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests and property by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to incidents. This role requires a valid Hawaii Guard Card and includes tasks such as conducting investigations, assisting guests during emergencies, and completing incident reports.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Patrol all areas of the property to ensure guest and employee safety
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections
- Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required, and assist guests/employees during emergency situations
Additional Responsibilities:
- Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
- Defuse guest/employee disturbances and call for outside assistance if necessary
- Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents
- Handle all interruptions and complaints, resolve safety hazard situations, and escort any unwelcome persons from the property
- Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses
- Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents
Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- No related work experience or supervisory experience required
- Valid Hawaii Guard Card and driver license
