Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Oahu Turtle Bay. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing breads and pastries, including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare breads and pastries according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.
- Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
- Keep Chef informed of excess food items for planning of daily specials.
- Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
