Hotel Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Engineer III to join our team at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. As a key member of our hotel's maintenance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters to ensure all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely perform highly complex repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment, including pumps, motors, and air conditioners
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
• Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
• Display ability to train and mentor other engineers as necessary
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
• Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
