Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job | |
Provide food and beverage service to banquet function guests. Ensure proper setup and breakdown of assigned banquets. | |
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. | |
1. | Serve and clear food and beverage items according to function requirements. |
2. | Ensure that buffets, bars, coffee breaks and tables are properly set according to specific function diagrams and standards. |
3. | Attend to buffets, bars, coffee breaks and tables according to function requirements. |
4. | Attend all pre-shift meeting to ensure knowledge of event menu and requirements. |
5. | Ensure full knowledge of menu and beverage selections for the event. |
6. | Maintain cleanliness in all banquet function areas and storerooms as assigned. |
7. | Ensure that all side stations are stocked to appropriate standards for particular function. |
8. | Communicate clearly with all banquet guests to ensure proper service. |
9. | Perform other duties as assigned. |
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities. | |
Education | High school diploma or equivalent preferred. |
Experience | Minimum of one-year serving experience preferred. Good communication skills required. |
Licenses/Certifications | Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) and Food Handlers cards may be required. |
