As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and assisting with food and beverage selections.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the OpenTable system.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Handle cash register transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations during food preparation and handling.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
