Duties
- Supervise and train front desk staff, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Oversee the night audit process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Maintain effective communication with other departments to enhance guest experiences.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications with precision using phone systems and hotel management software.
- Ensure the front desk area is well-organized, clean, and welcoming for guests.
- Address guest complaints or issues with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
- Monitor occupancy rates and assist in forecasting future bookings to optimize revenue.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel management or hospitality is required; experience in a front desk role is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with international guests.
- Familiarity with night audit procedures is advantageous.
- Proficient in using phone systems and hotel management software for efficient operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and guide front desk staff effectively.
