What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseperson/Housekeeping position at Marriott St. Louis Airport Hotel?
1. Clean walls, mirrors, tiles, tables windows and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
2. Strip and/or move furniture which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 40 pounds and moving furniture weighing a maximum of 150 pounds.
3. Dust all furniture, pictures, window ledges, and vending areas thoroughly. Maintain cleanliness of public space, i.e. lobby, public restrooms, offices, elevators and stairways as assigned.
4. Push and pull vacuum throughout hallways, empty trash, and remove dirty linen from room attendant’s carts.
5. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in linen closets, which may require lifting boxes up to 80 pounds.
6. Sign for keys, retrieve, push cart weighing up to 150 pounds. Visually inspect hallway areas for cleanliness and appearance. Must report all repairs or maintenance problems to supervisor.
7. Push and/or pull laundry carts.
8. Clean hallways/guest rooms with “Spin Bonnet” machine. Use “Extractor” machine for deep cleaning when assigned.
9. Greet guests in hallways or in passing, ask if they are enjoying their stay.
Job Type: Full-time
