Role Summary:
This role is responsible for processing transactions for customers placing orders through our sales personnel that will be picked up at the CDC Will-Call Counter. The Will Call Associate is also responsible for maintaining an orderly and organized environment for our customers and to maintain efficiency within the department. This person will also train in sales with the CDC counter staff when time permits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, accurate and courteous transactions for each of our customers coming through the Will-Call department
- Stage completed orders in the designated locations by size of order and type of items
- Maintain a well-organized, neat workplace that creates a professional and efficient environment for both the associate and the customer
- Manage the Will-Call order maintenance in the system, physically keeping accurate paperwork and inventory via self-audit on a weekly basis
- Work with Sales Team Members to ensure all orders over 14 days old are followed up on with the order-writer in a timely manner, and canceled when directed
- Works towards continuous improvement of the Will Call area through implementation of cost savings and process improvement opportunities
- Actively pursue opportunities to train in sales with counter staff; assist other warehouse departments during downtime
- Responsible for acting in accordance with Mars’ Safety procedures with all employees helping to ensure the facility is always operating in a safe manner
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook for email
- Basic math and computer skills
- Experience working with an ERP system, Eclipse preferred
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, RF scanner preferred
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb, lift and move materials up to 75 lbs.
- 6 months warehouse experience in receiving, production or shipping preferred
