Required Shift12-Hour shifts, rotating schedules.
Days 6 : 00am to 6 : 30pm; Nights 6 : 00pm to 6 : 30am; 4 days on and 4 days off. Shifts will rotate days to nights every 12 weeks.
The scope of the
Grinding Utility Operatoris responsible and accountable for ensuring all raw materials are appropriately dosed and batched to standard formulas. The Grinding Operator will work several positions throughout the site with the intent of preparing and mixing ingredients.Minimum Requirements :High school diploma / GEDForklift experience requiredDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachablePassion to work and learn in a manufacturing environmentAbility to act with disciplined initiativeWorking knowledge of computer programs for entering dataGood verbal and written communication skills1 years’ experience within manufacturing, technical and / or trade disciplineComfortable working with different business systems like SAP, ATMS and week plan.Physical Requirements :Lifting / carrying (10-55 lbs.) and pushing / pulling (50-200 lbs.).
Frequent handling / gripping / bending / stooping
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment
Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Operate mixing, grinding, material handling, and cleaning equipment and systemsOperate Grinding Tower systems in accordance with Operating Procedures in a safe, productive, and efficient manner at all timesPerform Grinding Tower operational activity according to production and planning schedules and requirementsPerform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage and adjust production quantity based on inventoryReceive and unload raw materials and supplies from delivery equipmentProvide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipmentProvide reporting and documentation of Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation activities in accordance Operating ProceduresAssist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directedProvide functional communications with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safetyPerform all duties in compliance with Quality Procedures and Good Manufacturing PracticesAdhere to all safety requirementsPerform housekeeping and sanitation procedures in accordance with Food Safety and Sanitation ProgramTotal Rewards / Compensation :Shift differential of $1.50 / hourPay based on experienceOT potentialAnnual bonus pay outAnnual merit increasesMedical, Vision & Dental- Starts day one!Up to 6% 401K matchPaid Time OffTuition reimbursementShort / Long Term disability18 weeks parental leaveWhat can you expect from Mars?
