Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Document individual progress and communicate effectively with team members
- Taking client to community activities(local gym, library, museum,YMCA)
- Transporting client from work
- This client is strictly Community Based Supports
- Looking for an individual to engage with client inside and outside of the home, movies, museum, zoo, park aquarium, malls etc
Qualifications:
- Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques
- Ability to follow medication administration protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plus
- Physical ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or activities
- First aid and CPR certification is mandatory
