We are looking for a Data DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. This position is required to be located in the Lehi, UT area for regular in-office meetings.

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. - Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analysis in cloud-based data warehouses like BigQuery.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to
- understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Manage and optimize data storage, processing, and workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and
- uptime.
- Implement data validation and testing processes to maintain high data quality and reliability.
- Document data processes, pipelines, and infrastructure for clarity and reproducibility.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and cloud technologies.
Technical Skills:
- SQL proficiency for data transformation and analysis.
- Familiarity with data modeling best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery).
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow.
- Basic proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Entry-level candidates: 0-2 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Mid-level candidates: 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical
- stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Curiosity and passion for working with data to solve real-world problems.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Understanding of distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g., Spark,
- Hadoop).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
