We are seeking a Manager, Business Analytics. Candidates must have experience with CPG or shopper marketing agency related experience. Candidates must reside within a 90-minute radius of the Bentonville, NYC or Detroit area.
Business Analytics Team
Part of the overall Analytics Group, the Business Analytics team is responsible for performing descriptive and prescriptive analytics, client reporting and relationships, as well as cross-functional integration. They analyze a variety of different data to derive insights, identify trends and patterns from model outputs, and provide actionable recommendations. Additionally, they answer client questions and ensure the insights align with business objectives, write and approve proposals and findings, oversee all Analytic deliverables, and help drive the growth of the department.
- Core Responsibilities: Marketing Science, Ad-hoc Reporting, A/B Testing, Insights & Recommendations, Trend & Seasonality Analysis, Post Campaign Analysis, Advanced Analytics, etc.
- Primary Tools: Google Suite, Azure Synapse, PowerBI, Nielsen, Circana, Numerator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager of Business Analytics will lead a small group of analysts and manage data analysis projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights that support business objectives. This role requires collaboration with various departments to understand and address their data needs and provide input to continuously improve data processes and analytics methodologies. More specifically, in this role you will:
- Lead and manage a group of analysts, providing leadership, development, and guidance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive analytics strategies to support business objectives.
- Manage and execute data analysis projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all data, reports, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand and address client needs.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to all stakeholders.
- Continuously improve data processes and analytics methodologies.
- Support new business RFP & pitching efforts, as required.
- Demonstrate ability to initiate relationships and be responsible for developing these into strong client relationships.
- Identify unmet needs within the department, develop proposals to satisfy needs.
- Develop and lead client presentations.
- Help to lead and develop people on the team (indirectly and directly).
- Help the wider team attract, train, and develop talent, ensuring Analytics keeps a diversity of skills, backgrounds, and experience.
- Continue to assist in knowledge sharing through internal communication events, training, and other written material.
- Maintain relevant marketing certifications and stay informed of marketing trends and tools.
- Support wider agency initiatives.
- Support the creation of white papers, agency “points of view”, blog posts, etc.
- Support annual planning initiatives with clients.
- Show up – be accountable, take responsibility, and get back up when you are down.
- Make stuff.
- Share so others can see what’s happening.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLSET AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and analytics management.
- Strong leadership capabilities and track record of managing and mentoring an analytics team.
- Demonstrated experience in leading marketing analytics methodologies like Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), Audience Development, Clustering, Markov Chain analysis, etc.
- Experience in the marketing domain is a plus, providing valuable context for data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with retail media platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Criteo, Citrus, and third-party API partners (SKAI, Pacvue, etc).
- Strong technical understanding of a range of marketing concepts such as first-party and third-party cookie-based data collection, developing and activating audience segments from digital analytics and data management platforms.
- Excellent project management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to direct team members to ensure successful outcomes of analytic projects.
- Superior communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking to develop and implement effective analytics strategies.
- Experience in SQL and Python or R for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong statistical analysis skills to derive actionable insights from data.
- Proficient in data modeling to structure and organize data effectively.
- Extensive experience with BI tools and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI for comprehensive data analysis and reporting.

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $85,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
