What are the responsibilities and job description for the Execution Planner position at Mars?
The Execution Planner is responsible for short-term, exception management decisions related to product transfers, order management requests, raw/ packaging material shortages and in rare instances changing the frozen production schedule.
What are we looking for?
- B.S. or BA in supply chain management, science and/or engineering
- 1-3 years of supply chain experience for a global or multi-plant consumer packaged goods company
- Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably JDA, E2open or RapidResponse)
- Experience in working internationally in a fast paced, reputable global consumer product company organized in a matrix structure

- Proficient in program management, production execution, material procurement and financial impact analysis
- Ability to create and foster a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship with critical partners
- Demonstrated ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals and objectives
- Creative problem solving skills with the ability to identify risks and anticipate risks in order to develop mitigation plans
- Demonstrate ability to be consistently reliable, proactive and available to triage supply disruptions and effectively manage time around critical priorities
- Excellent understanding of key contractual arrangements and strong enforcement of operating agreement with key supply partners
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Make short-term, exception management decisions to optimize service, cost and cash
- Lead weekly S&OE feeder meetings and process
- Develop daily deployment plan
- Manage service/ NQC exceptions and risks
- Execute short-term plan by holding weekly MPS meetings with manufacturing sites
- Coordinate needed transfers with logistics team
- Manage raw and packaging material exceptions with suppliers
- Manage obsolescence and aging analysis / tracking
- Develop service communications for the wider business
- Coordinate order management requests with the customer supply chain team
- Coordinate with needed cross-functional partner teams as related to Seasonal and Display fixed quantity processes
- Coordinate with needed cross-functional partner teams as related to Turn, Affiliate, and Innovation processes
- Participate continuous improvement projects and problem solving cards, as it relates to service, cost and cash issues
