Supply Chain Director Vet & Pro - Royal Canin
As a member of the Business Unit Senior Leadership Team, the Supply Chain Director VET & PRO leads supply chain strategy development and customer collaboration for their business unit. This role will design and execute supply chain strategy to support our rapidly growing business. They will continually evaluate and improve the service and costs of Royal Canin’s distribution network. This will be accomplished through collaboration with Regional and Global Supply Chain teams, network evaluation and modelling, systems integration, and process improvements. They will take into consideration the end-to-end supply chain, including inbound and outbound logistics, when making decisions.
What are we looking for?
Own the development of the logistics / planning strategy for their business unit. Ensure that we have the appropriate resources and capabilities to effectively distribute in alignment with business growth and increased service requirements. It includes the management of current distribution network specific to Vet & Pro and the responsibility of Inventory level and mix throughout the network.
Owns logistics route to market, co-responsible for logistics cost and service optimization.
Manage and achieve service KPIs, improve customer experience and objectives for the transportation, distribution, and order management functions through effective collaboration and strategic partnership with the Customer Service team and the NA logistics team.
Ensures logistics performance meets the requirements of SLAs in the business units and all customer types.
Management of Sales Planning and leading a team (2 direct reports) to ensure forecasting accuracy and optimal in stock % for the VET and PRO customers
Communicate clearly and regularly Service level & Inventory level per customers to the Vet BU and facilitate root causing
Drives continuous improvements through collaboration with central CoE resources. Evaluate and implement new transportation and distribution technologies which allow for additional efficiencies and service improvements. This will include system technologies.
Lead, analyze, and evaluate network models options that will support business growth initiatives, and which take into account our end-to-end supply chain requirements. This will include all internal and external fulfilment options
Ensure and improve the order to cash cycle through effective collaboration and shared responsibility with the Customer Service team.
Championing the S&OP process for the Business Unit
Member of the Vet BU leadership team and promoter of Economics of Mutuality within Royal Canin and In the Vet Industry.

- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in logistics, supply chain or other operational area
- Minimum 5 years in progressive people and/or project management roles.
- Demonstrated success leading and executing supply chain strategy and driving organizational change
- Broad knowledge of Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation processes
- CSCP or CPIM Certification
- Six Sigma / Lean Black Belt Certification preferred
