Position Summary:
The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of MarshBerry’s IT infrastructure. The Infrastructure Administrator will monitor, manage, and support hardware, software, networks, and systems to ensure optimal performance and availability. The Infrastructure Administrator will work to ensure that MarshBerry’s systems are secure by detecting and remediating vulnerabilities and potential threats to users and devices.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor IT Systems: Regularly check the health of servers, networks, and systems to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
- Perform Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, backups, and hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve technical problems related to hardware, software, and network components.
- User Support: Provide support to end-users, addressing and resolving IT-related inquiries and issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Risk Management: Implement basic security measures to protect systems and data, including firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior IT staff and other business leaders and colleagues to support IT initiatives and projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Infrastructure services. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Reporting: Assist with the creation of reports and alerts to proactively diagnose potential issues that may affect the infrastructure.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients, partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.
- Special projects and tasks as assigned.
Selection Criteria
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred or the equivalent of 3 years of professional experience.
- 3 years experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2019 )
- 2 years experience working with Microsoft Exchange Online.
- 2 years experience working with System Management tools like Microsoft Intune.
- 3 years experience using a Windows scripting language such as PowerShell.
- 2 years experience administrating Microsoft 365 suite.
- 2 years experience working with Entra and Active Directory.
- Experience with Meraki or Cisco Networking and Veeam Backup and Replication is a plus.
Other:
- Professional experience supporting users in a cloud environment.
- Prior experience using a formalized ticketing system to track issues and requests.
- Advanced networking skills and ability to troubleshoot common network issues.
- Proven experience taking complex solutions from concept to completion.
- Able to quickly grasp both business and technical concepts and solve difficult technical problems by leveraging available resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to adjust content and delivery based on the audience.
- Willingness and ability to provide guidance and direction to team members.
- Self-starter with advanced problem-solving skills.
- Customer service mindset.
- Able to prioritize and thrive in stressful situations.
- Driven to learn and stay current in an ever-changing technical landscape.
