Yard Crew
The Yard Crew position is responsible for performing all activities related to grounds maintenance to include trash/debris removal and lawn care for various apartment community and commercial property locations. This will include mowing grass; blowing debris from curbs, breezeways and common areas; tree and shrub trimming; spreading/distribution of mulch and ice melt; snow/ice removal as well as various other duties relating to maintaining landscpape aesthetics. These duties require the operation of both small (lawn mower, pressure washer, weed eater, chain saw, blower, trimmers, etc.) and large machinery/vehicles (dump truck, tractor, bobcat, etc.) as well as frequent use of hand tools. In addition, operate and repair equipment;maintain inventory of materials and supplies for grounds shop and ensure vehicle routine maintenance is conducted in a timely manner. Chemicals and other products requiring safety precautions may be used. Participation in on-call (Saturday) rotation as needed.
In this position, the majority of time (at least 90%) is spent outdoors.
