Position Overview:
The Landscape Technician is responsible for executing a variety of landscaping tasks to ensure properties are maintained to Marshals Outdoors’ high standards. This role involves working outdoors in a team environment to complete mowing, planting, pruning, and other maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:1. Property Maintenance:

• Perform lawn care tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris from walkways and driveways.
• Execute landscape installation tasks such as planting, mulching, sod installation, and bed preparation.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
• Perform seasonal cleanups, including leaf removal, aeration, and overseeding.

2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge clippers.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning and checking fluid levels.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or repairs needed to the Crew Lead.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all work meets company standards and exceeds client expectations.
• Identify and address any landscape issues such as dead plants or erosion.
• Communicate any client concerns or requests to the Crew Lead or Production Manager.

4. Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and job sites.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

5. Team Collaboration:

• Work as part of a team to complete daily tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with team members and clients.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous landscaping or lawn care experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Skills:
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment.
• Basic knowledge of plants, trees, and lawn care techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
• Capability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Other Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Work Environment:

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
• Operate equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Quarterly bonuses based on production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 5x8
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
• Year round work
