What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist position at Marshall B. Ketchum University?
This is a great opportunity for an optometrist who wants to work alongside an ophthalmologist. We are a privately owned, well established solo ophthalmology practice. Our office is located in a very busy and vibrant area of downtown Los Angeles :
Requirements
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and have an interest in pre- / post-operative exams
- Be comfortable working in an OD / MD team model and co-managing with an MD
- Be comfortable seeing 25-30 patients a day
- Provide amazing customer service and be personable with our wonderful patients
- Be able to communicate in Spanish
- Record all examination findings and recommendations on an EHR system
- Provide patient education on surgery, IOL options, astigmatism management, dry eye, glaucoma, etc.
- Residency training is great, but new graduates are welcome to apply as well.
