Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) specializing in Orthopedics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients with orthopedic conditions, ensuring effective treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance mobility. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in both acute care and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy, to facilitate recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding discharge planning and home exercise programs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
- Previous experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred, particularly in both hospital and outpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with pediatric physical therapy practices is a plus.
- Proven ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
