What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty - SMMC SON position at Marshall Health Network?
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking School of Nursing Adjunct Clinical Faculty. The Adjunct Faculty will assist the Curriculum Coordinator in the achievement of the objectives of the assigned year. Work collaboratively for the achievement of school objectives.
Experience : Med Surg, OB / Pediatrics, Psych, and Practicum.
EDUCATION :
Graduate degree with a major in nursing; or bachelor's degree with a major in nursing and be enrolled in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one year of employment as a faculty member or bachelor's degree with a major in nursing and at least two (2) years of direct patient care experience in nursing.
EXPERIENCE :
Evidence of current experience in nursing practice and education sufficient to demonstrate professional competence. A minimum of two (2) years clinical nursing experience required. Two (2) years teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program preferred.
SKILLS :
Ability to perform good clinical teaching. Ability to maintain good working relationships with students, faculty, school and Medical Center personnel. Behaviors which reflect understanding, emotional stability, patience, tact and consideration for individual differences. Ability to lead, guide and direct others. BLS required.
