Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to perform the following duties :
The Athletic Trainer attends scheduled practices and interscholastic
athletic contests as scheduled and duly notified, prevention, treatment,
rehabilitation / reconditioning of athletes and patients, documentation of
injuries, status, and progress.

- Provide on-site injury care and evaluation as well as appropriate
acute care treatments, follow-up treatment and rehabilitation as
necessary for all injuries sustained by student athletes.

QUALIFICATIONS :
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING :
Must have completed and received a Bachelors / Master of Science degree in
Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited institution and hold a current
certification from the BOC. Must be registered to participate as an
Athletic Trainer in the State of WV. Must maintain first-aid and CPR
certifications.
WORK EXPERIENCE : None required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with and understand patients of all ages, visitors, and other hospital personnel. Must have basic knowledge of aseptic techniques. Must be able to exercise sound clinical judgement.
