What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Audit Specialist - CPC position at Marshall Health Network?
The Charge Audit Specialist's primary responsibility is to review observation claim to capture all drug administration charges along with billing observation hours per CMS guidelines. Address billing and coding related questions/concerns from the Business Office and provide education to physician and/or department staff of billing edit/errors. Initiate and lead performance improvement efforts to enhance charge capture and promote revenue integrity.
Requirements:Education Requirements:
High School Diploma. Junior College Technical School required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Certification/Skills:
RHIT, CCS, CCS-H, OR CPC required.
