We are seeking a skilled Coding Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient and outpatient charts within specified time frames and accuracy requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coding: Codes Inpatient Charts using ICD-10-CM diagnosis and procedure codes, and outpatient charts using ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.
- Abstracting: Abstracts medical records according to departmental procedure within specified time frames and accuracy requirements.
- Job-Related Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be RHIT or RHIA certified.
- Degree: Requires an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Records from an accredited institution.
