Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified individual to lead our Surgical Services department. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of surgical care. The Director will work closely with clinical staff and physicians to ensure seamless communication and high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the quality of patient care in the Surgical Services department.
- Manage the financial aspects of Surgical Services, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Assign patient care according to personnel proficiency levels.
- Maintain efficient organization and quality control standards within Surgical Services.
- Ensure proper equipment and tools are available and meet safety standards.
- Serve as an intra/inter departmental liaison for staff and physicians.
- Foster customer service and relations, setting an example for staff to follow.
- Provide ongoing evaluation and counseling of employees.
- Create a positive work environment conducive to open dialogue.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Current licensure in West Virginia.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience in Surgical Services.
- Previous management experience required; previous management experience in Surgical Services preferred.
