Rivers Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our hospital laboratory team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting patient specimens in accordance with our guest relations policy, using two identifiers to ensure accurate identification.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying, accessioning, and distributing samples within the departmental policy and procedure framework. Additionally, they will prepare samples for testing by reference laboratories in an appropriate manner, ensuring timely and accurate results.
The role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required, as well as certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent experience.
