Rivers Health is seeking a full-time night shift MLT / MT to complete the following duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

- Collect specimens from patients in a manner that supports the quest
relations policy of the hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS :
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING :
Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or related field plus
eligibility for ASCP and / or associate degree in applied science or related field plus eligibility for certification by ASCP and WV License.
WORK EXPERIENCE :
None. Three years or greater of general staff tech experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Must be able to perform vein and / or (capillary) punctures. Must be able to read and understand laboratory instruction manuals. Must demonstrate the ability to identify and address the special needs of the ages of patients including neonates, adolescents, pediatrics, and geriatrics and can effectively communicate with the patient.
