Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant with our Rehabilitation Services Department.
The primary purpose of the OTA is to assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and conducting Occupational Therapy treatments and patient education . Advances patients to meet the plan of care. Communicates openly with the Occupational Therapist concerning progress of all patients and is open for suggestions in treatment approaches and techniques. Observes, records and reports on patients condition, reaction and response to treatment according to the Occupational Therapist's plan of care. . Provides timely progress notes and charges. Assists in training and orienting students, new employees or volunteers.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Junior College / Technical School required.
- Licensure by the West Virginia State Board of Occupational Therapy required.
- Previous position-related experience preferred.
