What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Specialist - PACU (Part Time) position at Marshall Health Network?
Assists in providing patient care activities for which employee has been prepared and in conformance with Medical Center policy and procedures, functions under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Education Requirements :
High School Diploma / GED required.
In addition, must meet one of the following criteria :
- Successful completion of a multi-skilled technician program which includes EKG, phlebotomy, and direct patient care. Certification must be valid and current.
- EKG and Phlebotomy training with patient experience in physician office / clinical setting.
Experience : EKG and Phlebotomy training with patient experience in clinical setting preferred.
Certifications / Skills :
Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff; manual dexterity required to use hands easily and skillfully while aiding patients. BLS required.
