What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychotherapist - Behavioral Health (Full Time) position at Marshall Health Network?
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Psychotherapist for our Behavioral Health Unit. The Psychotherapist, under the general supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health or authorized designee, the Psychotherapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care through evaluation, treatment planning, group and individual treatment, and family treatment. The Psychotherapist is also responsible for providing case management services. The Psychotherapist functions as a contributing member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team.
Education Requirements :
A Master's degree in human service field preferably psychology, social work, or counseling. Must have and maintain a current WV license in field of practice.
EXPERIENCE :
A minimum of one year's experience working with psychiatric / chemically dependent patients.
SKILLS :
Good overall clinical skills, ability to work productively and effectively, ability to function well as a member of an inter-disciplinary team, ability to communicate in both written and verbal form with individuals of various social, economic, and educational level, and ability to represent the program well in interactions with others inside and outside the host hospital.
