What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transporter (Casual) position at Marshall Health Network?
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Casual Transporter . The Transporter, under the direction of the Manager, Patient Transport / Customer Service or authorized designee, the Transporter will safely and efficiently transport patients throughout the Medical Center.
EDUCATION : High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a nurse aide program preferred.
EXPERIENCE : Nurse aide experience preferred but not required. Previous experience working with the public and or patients and their families helpful.
SKILLS : Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff. Ability to lift patients and operate transport equipment. Good body mechanics. Have nimble hands and a pleasing voice. Should have the ability to remain calm even when working under pressure. Maintains BLS certification.
