The Orthopaedics Department is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to provide medical services for its Perioperative Medicine division at Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Compassionate, energetic, responsible individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centric care in a Perioperative Medicine office setting.
- Practice focused on pre-surgical medical clearance and care of hospitalized post-surgical patients.
- No call responsibilities. Occasional evening hours.
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintains and reviews patient's records, charts and other pertinent information.
- Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Performs related work as required.
Education : Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience : Minimum one (1) year experience. Prefer one year experience in medical / surgical nursing or related clinical experience.
License / Registration : Valid West Virginia license.
