What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSYCHOLOGIST - MARSHALL INTERNAL MEDICINE position at Marshall Health?
Job Responsibilities :
- Assists in the identification of mental health disease and develops appropriate treatment plans in an integrated primary care setting that is also part of a large multispecialty group.
- Diagnoses and develops treatment plans for behavioral health concerns impacting overall health, especially in the setting of chronic disease.
- Participates in multidisciplinary specialty clinics, including non-surgical weight loss program, gender affirming, adult ADHD, and sleep disturbance.
- Supervises Marshall University PsyD students on clinical rotation in the department.
- Provides education and resources to allied health professionals and other health professionals in areas of expertise.
- Participates in ongoing quality programs and assists in compliance with quality measures.
Education : Doctoral-level degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)
Experience : Post-doctoral supervision is available for this position if a qualified applicant indicates interest. Experience in health psychology is preferred.
