Special Investigations Unit Investigator plays a crucial role in detecting and preventing fraud. The position will enjoy an extremely flexible work schedule with collaboration across the country with peers and travel as needed, to investigate suspicious or potentially fraudulent activities related to insurance claims. The Investigator conducts recorded statements/interviews, accident scene investigations, online research, and witness canvassing. They recognize compensability issues, and misrepresentation, and understand insurance coverage as it pertains to claims decisions. They must have the ability to articulate the findings in a clear and concise written report. They must be able to identify red flags and follow all leads, doing their due diligence to conduct a thorough investigation.

General Duties:
- Conduct thorough investigations into suspected insurance fraud claims.
- Interview witnesses, claimants, and other relevant parties.
- Conduct Examination Under Oath or Sworn Statements
- Review policy documents, industry databases, and other sources of information.
- Follow ethical guidelines and maintain professionalism throughout the investigative process.
- Work closely with insurance adjusters, analysts, attorneys, vendors and other personnel within the company.
- Collaborate with external and internal experts when necessary.
- Investigate various types of insurance fraud, depending on the lines of insurance.
- Conduct investigations on complex cases as requested by specific clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Three (3) years prior Investigative Experience
- Previous SIU experience with an insurance carrier or investigative firm
- Valid Driver’s License and private auto insurance
- Auto insurance must include 100/300/100 coverage limits
- High level of integrity, ethics, and accountability.
- United States citizen
- Licensing: Must hold or be able to obtain a current and active Private Investigation License. CFE or CIFI preferred.
