POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Accreditation and Licensing Manager, the Healthcare Facility Licensing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the hospital's facility licensing and certification processes. This role involves managing licensing and certification applications, coordinating with state licensing and certification bodies, organizing onsite licensing and certification inspections, and handling license and certification renewals for the organization. The specialist collaborates with various department leaders and state agencies to ensure compliance and streamline state licensing and certification processes. Additionally, the specialist ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintains up-to-date records to support the hospital's operational integrity and accreditation status.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional-Physical Environment (HACP-PE)- must be obtained within one year of employment if not present on hire.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience managing healthcare facility licensing and certification required.
- In-depth knowledge of state facility licensing requirements, including those from CDPH and HCAI.
- Familiarity with other relevant state and federal healthcare regulations and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
Skills:
- Ability to manage complex licensing and certification projects and see them through to resolution.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in licensing and certification applications, renewals, and compliance documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills, efficiently managing multiple licensing projects and maintaining detailed records.
- Communicates effectively with state licensing and certification bodies, internal stakeholders, and during onsite inspections.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of state healthcare facility licensing and certification regulations and standards.
- Skilled in problem-solving, adept at addressing and resolving issues related to state licensing, certification, and compliance.
- Manages time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines for state licensing and certification applications, renewals, and inspections.
- Excellence in professional etiquette, behavioral standards, dress code, attendance policy and code of conduct will be always demonstrated.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite.
Salary : $35 - $43
