Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Medical Director, Department Director and Operations Supervisor, the Supervisor, Imaging Technologist supervises the daily workflow of radiology services of the hospital campus. This position has direct technical and logistical oversight of workflow functions related to radiology, fluoroscopy, portable radiology procedures and patient transportation. Ensures the appropriate prioritization of in-patient and outpatient exams and procedures. Assists in the formulation of procedure protocols in collaboration and under the direction of the Medical Director. Provides direct input into and can performance evaluations and competency assessments of the Radiology Technologists and Clinical Imaging Assistants assigned under his / her supervision.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Licensure / Certification :
- Graduate from a Radiology Technology program and current California Radiological Technologists (CRT) licensed required.
- American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) strongly preferred.
- Advanced certification in CT or Mammography preferred.
- Certificates must be in good standing and without sanctions.
- CA Fluoroscopy license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required.
- If CT tech : Venipuncture certificate strongly preferred or eligible to obtain.
