Position Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist joyfully welcomes, schedules, answers phones, and organizes all that's needed to help a family receive a happy and helpful pediatric therapy experience.
Essential Functions:
- Answer the central telephone system and directs calls accordingly
- Receive the public and answer questions in person and by telephone; respond to inquiries and refer to the appropriate person or department
- Check-in/check-out patients
- Collect co-pays, co-insurance and past balance on the patient billing account
- Verify current day Medicaid/MCO patients
- Verify all intake paperwork is completed and all required fields are signed by parent/guardian
- Create room assignment schedules
- Complete patient files
- Create school excuses
- Schedule future appointments
- Cancel/reschedule appointments
- Responsible for trash & cleaning public & restroom areas
- Collect past-due billing accounts in Fusion
- Manage fax and voicemail systems
- Share office opening and closing responsibilities
