What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Employment Specialist position at Marshall-Starke Development Center, Inc.?
Responsible for assisting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in finding and sustaining employment and act as a liaison between the individual and employer for long-term success.
Provides training in identifying a career goal through assessments, interviews, and situational assessments with individuals and employers. Ability to plan, organize, and deliver training to consumers on a variety of jobs in a variety of situations.
Assists in initial training and job coaching at job sites with individuals to aid in increased independence and inclusion.
Maintains consistent communication with individuals on caseload, Employment Services, employers, and family/guardians
Assist in planning and evaluating of Job Placement Services; provides direct services to consumers; conducts job development activities with local employers and referral agencies.
Required:
One year experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Marketing, Social Work.
Must have reliable transportation.
