Key Responsibilities
- Functional Safety Design: Lead the electrical hardware functional safety design for automotive systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262.
- Product Design: Design and develop safety electronics for electrical hardware products.
- Safety Analysis: Conduct safety analysis, including the creation and maintenance of DFA, DFMEA, FMEDA, and FTA for hardware designs.
- Collaboration: Work with the electrical engineering team to integrate functional safety into the product design, reviewing customer requirements and safety manuals.
- System Knowledge: Apply knowledge of ASIL A, B, C, and D systems to hardware development.
- Communication Protocols: Ensure hardware compatibility with automotive serial communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
- Microcontroller Integration: Implement designs that include microcontrollers and peripherals (e.g., SPI, GPIO, PWM).
- Cross-functional Support: Assist other teams with the implementation of systems engineering processes and participate in cross-functional reviews of requirements and safety analyses.
- Tools & Documentation: Use tools like Doors, Medini, and Rhapsody for safety analysis, documentation, and reviews.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in functional safety design and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 26262, particularly parts 5, 8, and 9.
- Experience in safety analysis and the creation of DFA, DFMEA, FMEDA, FTA, and HARA.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits and design.
- Experience with automotive systems development life cycle and safety electronics design.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
- Familiarity with different microcontrollers, SoC, and peripherals.
- Experience with tools like Doors, Medini, Rhapsody.
- Strong understanding of ASIL system safety requirements.
- 5 years of experience in functional safety design and analysis.
- Expertise in safety analysis and the creation of DFA, DFMEA, FMEDA, FTA, and HARA.
- Experience designing safety electronics for electrical hardware products.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, particularly parts 5, 8, and 9.
