Job Title: Senior Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Onsite 3 Days/Week)

Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst to support data integration, modeling, and source-to-target mapping projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, data warehousing, and data lifecycle management. This individual will act as a bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring that data requirements are clearly defined and translated into actionable insights. The role involves working closely with architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering: Elicit, interpret, and represent business requirements related to data management, data integration, data quality, and data security.
• Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM): Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings for data lineage.
• Data Profiling & Validation: Perform data profiling to ensure data quality requirements are accurate and comprehensive.
• Data Analysis: Analyze and validate source systems, data flows, and data models to ensure alignment with business domains.
• Collaboration: Work with architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with QA teams to define the testing strategy.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to business and data analysts, assisting in data model reviews and solution design.
• Data Management Strategy: Promote and execute the organization’s data management strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the key point of contact between the technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and delivery of high-quality results.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7 years of professional experience in BI/Data Analysis with a strong emphasis on data integration, data mapping, and data conversion activities.
• Strong SQL Skills: 5-7 years of hands-on experience with SQL and an understanding of various data structures (flat files, DBMS).
• Data Modeling: 3 years of experience with data modeling concepts and techniques.
• Proven experience in data profiling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Source-to-Target Mapping: Strong experience developing STTM for data lineage.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act as a conduit between business and technical teams.
• Project Management: Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cognos (v.8.x or higher) or similar BI tools.
• Experience with Teradata Data Warehouse or other DBMS platforms.
• Certification in Data Management (CDMP) or Business Intelligence (CBIP) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of project management frameworks.

• Extensive experience working in data-centric environments using SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with data lifecycle management, data cleansing, and metadata management.
• Experience with data integration platforms and working within data governance frameworks.
