Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. SAP ABAP Developer to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. This role will focus on the design, development, and implementation of SAP ABAP applications, specifically within S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ABAP programming, technical design, and systems analysis, while supporting and mentoring less experienced developers. This is an on-site role with a contract through June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• ABAP Programming: Design, code, test, debug, and implement ABAP applications in S/4HANA and ECC environments, focusing on modules such as FI/CA, SD, and BW.
• Technical Analysis & Support: Provide ongoing technical support, research SAP documentation for solutions, and conduct system analysis to resolve reported issues.
• Code Reviews & Mentorship: Participate in ABAP code reviews and mentor less experienced developers.
• Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts and functional teams to review functional specifications, develop technical specifications, and explain program functionality.
• Performance Tuning: Perform debugging, performance analysis using trace tools, and optimize ABAP code for performance.
• Integration & Development: Develop interfaces using REST Web Services, custom applications, batch jobs, and conversions handling high data volumes.
• Documentation: Write and maintain technical specifications, design diagrams, and functional flows to ensure quality documentation of processes.
• Project Involvement: Lead technical aspects of projects, including upgrades, implementations, and enhancements for SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP S/4 (FI/CA, FI, MD, SD, GL modules) with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, ABAP Object-Oriented Programming, and ABAP SQL (including complex joins).
• Experience working with SAP Financials (FI/CA), Sales and Distribution (SD), and General Ledger (GL) modules.
• Technical leadership experience in SAP implementations, including planning and organizing technical work assignments.
• ABAP Debugging, performance analysis using trace tools, Code Inspector, and runtime analysis tools.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP objects and other modern SAP technologies.
• Experience with REST Web Services, SAP Portal development, and Portal upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Forms, SmartForms, Print Workbench, and SAP Script.
• Experience with Web Dynpro ABAP/Java, cloud development, and custom user exits.
• Experience in API Development with Gateway Services and newer SAP technologies.
• SAP Fiori experience: Design and develop custom and standard Fiori applications using Fiori Elements and deployment through SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Knowledge of SAP HANA, Native HANA transports, and upgrading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with Business Rules Framework (BRF Plus) and Business Data Toolset (BDT).
• Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW), including the design and development of data archiving processes.

• ABAP Object-Oriented Programming, including custom applications and interfaces.
• Proficiency in module pool programming, custom report programming, batch jobs, BADI, and enhancements.
• Expertise in Business Partner Maintenance, Contract Account Maintenance, Sales Order Maintenance, Dunning, Reconciliation, and General Ledger Accounting.
• SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
