Key Responsibilities
Wi-Fi Alliance Engagement:
- Represent the company's interests within the Wi-Fi Alliance, actively participating in working groups on Wi-Fi security, interoperability, and future specifications.
- Provide technical expertise during specification reviews to ensure alignment with the company's product roadmap and technical vision.
- Participate in interoperability events, testing, and validating the company's wireless solutions against industry standards and other vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and drive the implementation of innovative features in Access Point products.
- Design, test, and document new features, ensuring seamless integration with existing frameworks and systems.
- Develop test methodologies for requirements traceability and automation of device testing.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex field issues, working closely with development, support, and customer-facing teams.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of wireless networking solutions, preferably within a carrier-grade Wi-Fi environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Wi-Fi technologies, including in-depth understanding of 802.11 standards (e.g., 802.11be, 802.11ax, 802.11ac).
- Strong experience with Wi-Fi security protocols (e.g., WPA2, WPA3) and a solid understanding of wireless security best practices.
- Strong foundation in network engineering principles, including IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DSCP, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency with network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, spectrum analyzers).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
- Prior participation in Wi-Fi Alliance activities or other industry standards bodies.
- 15 years of hands-on experience in wireless networking solutions, particularly in a carrier-grade Wi-Fi environment.
- Track record of defining requirements, delivering hardware and software designs, and developing features for Wi-Fi gateways/devices.
- Knowledge and experience with embedded software languages (e.g., C) and tools, build systems, cross-compilers, embedded Linux kernels, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Understanding of OpenWRT, wireless protocol stacks, data models, and familiarity with the Linux connectivity stack.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and data analysis.
